AITP-RTP Meeting – How to Make Your Organization More Relevant & Impactful

Summary:

Too often, IT is simply reduced to and focused on the latest buzzwords and ‘cool’ tech, with little or no explanation on how or why it’ll help a business or how you can leverage it for your organization and career.  Two seasoned IT executives with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 experience will join us for an entertaining – and highly interactive – event with actionable insights to take away from the evening

Our Speakers:

Mark Dronzek has had multiple CIO and Sr. Leadership roles over the past 20 years, including Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. Many of his positions have been global, delivering services across over eighty-five countries. His leadership roles have spanned multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals & life sciences, agribusiness, professional services, energy and retail. He has also run P&L units and worked in both NGOs and start-ups.

Mark’s career has focused on building organizations, strategic partnerships, innovation, organizational change management and turnaround situations. He has been a principal in four different Global Shared Services implementations (partners included PwC, AA, Accenture and CapGemini). He has actively worked with external partners such as Cisco, Microsoft, Google and Intel in building technology solutions in emerging markets in Africa and Asia. Dronzek has considerable experience in regulatory compliance, too, including SOX, GDPR, FDA and EPA. He remains current on IT thought leadership through ongoing participation in multiple think tanks.

Mark has been on the AITP Advisory Board since 2007, and has been a presenter at national and international conferences. Dronzek remains active in local community participation, multiple sports, and has 1st Dan black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Kempo.

Rich Otteson is an eight-year Air Force veteran with five years at the National Security Agency (NSA).  His career has spanned a broad range of disciplines - from hands-on to consulting to Senior and Executive leadership.  Rich is driven by a pragmatic approach – identify opportunities, develop and communicate strategy then deliver.  Rich has extensive financial services experience spanning private and public sector, in-sourced and outsourced services, provider of hosted solutions supporting small to very large organizations.

When not working, he enjoys building things.  Examples include general woodworking, furniture, home renovations and automobile restoration.
