MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (MAC)

The "MAC" is a senior and executive level council that provides leadership and advice to the Chapter.  Their contribution aligns with the AITP-RTP Vision and Mission to enhance, coach and provide recommendations for advancement of the chapter.


Nick Otto serves as the CIO for Kimley-Horn, focused on IT Strategy & Leadership, Service Delivery, Application Development & Support, Information Security, and day-to-day IT Operations. Nick serves on the board of directors for the Triangle Technology Executives Council. Prior to joining Kimley-Horn, held senior leadership positions at SAS with responsibility for Global Hosting & Cloud Services, Information Security, and IT Audit & Compliance groups; Red Hat in both the IT Infrastructure and IT Enterprise Systems divisions and Circuit City Stores overseeing IT Infrastructure, Data Centers, Networking and Store Technology groups.  Nick’s IT journey started in the grocery IT sector supporting UNIX systems, POS terminals, and networks. Along the way working at a tech startup, consulting for the Virginia Dept of Transportation, and assisting several non-profits in making technology decisions. Nick is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.

Sherri Yerk-Zwickl is the Vice President for IT and inaugural CIO at Campbell University.  Ms. Yerk-Zwickl has served in higher education for over 35 years in various technology-related roles. Currently, as a member of the university executive leadership team, she oversees information security, academic and enterprise technology, client support services, infrastructure and operations, and the strategic direction of an institution dedicated to helping prepare students for lives of purpose and meaning.

Dr. Ken Russell is an award-winning technologist, trusted digital transformation leader, and innovation amplifier. He is an author, speaker, and board member known for helping organizations define and pursue their digital transformation journeys with guiding experience, connections, conversations, and collaborations.  

Senior Roles have included:
• Chief Information & Innovation Officer, New College Institute
• Chief Information Officer, Murdock Research Institute
• Executive roles at Cisco, Bank of America, Duke Energy
• Private Equity Advisor/Practitioner 


Rich Otteson is the Chief Technology Officer for United Bank. His career includes eight years in the Air Force, seven years in various senior and executive consulting roles and many years in financial services, primarily banking and insurance. Outside work, Rich enjoys golf (building clubs and playing), woodworking and restoring classic cars.


Mark Dronzek is a CIO, Strategist, Thought Leader, Data Advocate and Talent Amplifier. He is an Interim CIO for multiple sectors and midsize-to-large clients: works with executives on strategy, leadership, digital transformation, operational scalability, roadmap and mentoring. He is also a Board Member and Conference Speaker and Moderator.
