AITP-RTP Meeting – Jumping from Big Tech to Startup

Summary:

What's it like to lead a startup in today's environment? What are the real differences, advantages, and challenges of starting and leading a small company versus working for a big tech company? Nasrin Azari explores these questions and more as she recounts her journey from being a software developer at IBM to spinning out a new software venture amidst a global pandemic!

About Our Speaker:


Nasrin Azari is the President and CEO of Floodlight Software, a company that completely digitalizes the workflow and data management processes of 3rd party inspection and field service providers around the world. Ms. Azari has 14 years of experience as CEO, and over 20 years of experience providing enterprise-mobility solutions to Global 2000 businesses and organizations, including eBay, US Army, Canon, Coca-Cola, AstraZeneca, Northrop Grumman, SingTel, Las Vegas Sands, and many others. Ms. Azari heads the NDE 4.0 standards development sub-committee within the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, and is passionate about driving digital transformation to service organizations! She holds an MBA and an MS in Computer Science (Mobile Computing), both from Duke University, and is also an accomplished triathlete.
